About Us
Who We Are!
Dan and Remy are the owners and operators of Hua Orchards. We met at the University of Vermont where we graduated in 2010 and quickly migrated to tropical fruit growing conditions on the North Shore of Oahu. We have been growing avocados together for Barels Avocados since 2013. We are SERIOUS about our food system and sustainable agriculture, but still know how to have a good time!
The plan
In the coming year we will be focusing on:
- propagating our avocado trees, citrus, and windbreak/native plantings.
- Developing our Organic plan and conservation practices with certifiers and government agencies
- Mowing, Preparing fields and growing cover crops !
- planting the next 6 acres of avocados!
